With a master's in the field of political and social thinking at York University Sarkeesian is also an extremely sought-after public speaker and she has delivered speech at the TEDxWomen Festival as well as the United Nations' Broadband Working Group on Gender. Interested in issues concerning gender and feminism since at an early age, she created her site Feminist Frequency in 2009, while studying at the University.
