Amber Benson, an American producer and singer, also writes. Her most well-known role was Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Additionally, she produced the show, directed it and even starred in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977, in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Benson has a younger sister Danielle, who works as an artist. His father was Jewish while her mother was born and raised in the state of Alabama. Southern Baptist Benson grew up attending an Reform synagogue in Alabama. Benson has appeared involved in numerous TV and movie shows in the years since Buffy finished up, including The Killing Jar.
