Kari Sam Wuhrer born April 28, 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer began her career as an teen and is most well famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders and also as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. She has three brothers and sisters. The singer was in her teens performing in clubs and hid from her family for the sake of performing.
