Taylor Alison Swift was born on December 13th 1989. Her discography is diverse as is her songwriting style, which often is influenced by her personal life, has been widely covered by the media. Swift was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania. She relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, at 14 to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. Swift signed a songwriting agreement with Sony/ATV Music Publishing, in 2004, and an agreement to record with Big Machine Records, in 2005. Self-titled, her debut album she released in 2006 made her the first female singer to be certified platinum in the United States. Swift's subsequent albums, Fearless (2008) and Speak Now (2010), focused on country pop. The two first country tracks that reached the top of the U.S. airplay charts included "Love Story" and "You Are My Friend". Red (2012) included Red's debut Billboard Hot 100 single, "We Are Never Ever Coming Back Together." She abandoned her image as a country singer in 1989 (2014), which was supported chart-topping songs like "Shake It Off", "Blank Space" or "Bad Blood". Reputation 2017, with its top-seller "Look How You Made Me Do", was the result of media examination. Swift who had left Big Machine, signed with Republic Records for her seventh studio album Lover (2019) which followed it up with the autobiographical documentary Miss Americana 2020. Swift's albums for 2020 Folklore (2019) and Evermore (2020) were her first forays into alternative rock and indie music. "Cardigan" was an album that ranked in the top ten, and "Willow" was an album that ranked in the Top 100. Swift began rerecording six of her original albums following a dispute about their creators. In 2021, she re-released two: Fearless (Taylor’s) and Red. The Red's "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" was the longest track to make it onto the Hot 100. Her 2022 album Midnights and the single "Anti-Hero" set new streaming records. Swift has directed music videos, movies and has even appeared as a supporting character in various films. Swift is one the most successful artists ever selling over 200 million records worldwide. She is the most streamed woman on Spotify, and the only act to have five albums open with more than one million copies sold in the US. She has won twelve Grammy Awards, including three Album of the Year awards and the Emmy Award. There have also been 39 American Music Awards; 29 Billboard Music Awards and 92 Guinness World Records. Swift has been featured in rankings such as Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, the Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists as well as the Time 100 and Forbes Celebrity 100. Swift received the Artist of the Decade title and the Woman of the Decade title. Swift's music is frequently credited for inspiring the next generation of singer-songwriters.
